Members of the Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionary Youth Movement) commemorated Martyr Hozan Can in a memorial they held yesterday. The family of Martyr Hozan Can also attended the commemoration which was participated by dozens of young people.
The event was initiated with a minute’s silence, and followed by a speech by Martyr Hozan Can’s mother who explained that the legacy of resistance should not be left on the ground and that the youth should make Martyr Hozan Can’s dreams come true. Speaking about Martyr Hozan Can’s personality and childhood, his mother stated that Martyr Hozan Can dreamed of a free and democratic country.
Speaking on behalf of Martyr Hozan Can Academy, Heqî Tolhildan stated that they will take over his resistance, emphasizing that Martyr Hozan constantly played the role of developing and raising awareness amongst young people.
After the speeches, the memorial ended with the screening of a documentary about the life of Martyr Hozan Can.
